Questions & Answers
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I accept most commercial insurances. At this time, I am in-network with Aetna, Cigna, Anthem BCBS, Carelon Behavioral Health, Quest Behavioral Health, Resources for Living EAP, and Confide Enhanced EAP. Unfortunately, I am unable to accept any Medicaid insurance plans.
What is your private pay rate?
My private pay rate is $125 per session. Payment is due at time of service. Payment is processed through your client portal using a credit card, debit card, HSA, FSA, or HRA.
What is your cancellation policy?
Appointments cancelled with fewer than 24 hours notice or no-shows are subject to a $40 late cancellation/no-show fee. I understand life happens, so please reach out as soon as you’re aware of a scheduling conflict.
Do you offer virtual (telehealth) sessions?
Yes. Sessions are offered via secure, HIPAA-compliant video. You’ll need a stable internet connection and a private space where you feel comfortable.
How long are sessions and how often will we meet?
Standard sessions are typically 50–55 minutes. Many clients begin with weekly or biweekly sessions and adjust frequency over time based on need and progress.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes. Your privacy is protected by HIPAA, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. There are a few exceptions to confidentiality, such as concerns about immediate risk of harm to self or others or abuse/neglect. We will review confidentiality in detail during your first session so you know exactly what to expect.
How long will I need therapy?
The length of therapy varies. Some clients prefer short-term, goal-focused work; others benefit from longer-term support. We will regularly check in about your progress and goals.
Who should I contact if I’m in crisis?
If you are in crisis or feel unsafe, please seek immediate support, as I am not able to provide emergency or crisis services. You can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, go to your nearest emergency room or urgent care, or call 911. Once you’re stable and no longer require a higher level of care, I may be able to continue working with you in therapy.
How do I get started?
You can request a free, 15 minute consultation or schedule directly through my booking platform. I look forward to connecting and learning how I can support you.
